Karen Wrigley, OD

Dr Wrigley, a native Philadelphian, was voted 1999’s Optometrist of the Year. She has been in practice for over 15 years. Besides general eye health, Dr. Wrigley specializes in contact lenses, especially bifocals and difficult-to-fit cases.

She has worked as a consultant to the Philadelphia film industry designing special effects contact lenses. She also works as an eyecare consultant to the Phillies.

Pinal Dave, OD

Graduating with honors in clinical sciences, Dr. Dave has completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University in Philadelphia. Native to the area, she completed her undergraduate with a B.S. in Chemistry from Temple University and was the 264th graduating class of Central High School in Philadelphia.

Dr. Dave provides comprehensive eye exams for adults and pediatrics. She completed the Pediatric Advance Track at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, which allows her to diagnose, treat and manage patients with amblyopia, strabismus (eye turns) and binocular vision issues.

Dr. Dave provides clinical eye exams with therapeutic management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, age related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy. She manages low vision patients with different telescopes and magnifiers to allow there patients to have functional vision.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and sits as a trustee on the board as well.

Rick Spross – Manager/Optician

Born and raised locally in Bensalem, PA, Richard has always had a strong connection with the community and an understanding of the eclectic personalities inhabited within. Rick’s career started in early 1972 working for his father, Rick Spross Sr., in Frankford, PA. While working alongside his father, they both became State Licensed Opticians and continued his education to deliver nothing less than excellence to his customers.

In 2001, Rick joined partnership with Dr. Aaron Chasan and opened Visual Eyes in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Since then, Visual Eyes has been a staple to the community. Rick’s passion and vision has created opportunities locally through donations, volunteering time, resources and eyewear to various organizations.

Rick is a husband, father of three, grandfather to two and spends his free time in the outdoors riding his bike, flying kites and going to the beach.

June Weiner – Optometric Technician/Front Desk

June is our long time, front desk Medical Billing Clerk. She is a hometown, South Philadelphia native and well-known throughout the community. With such advanced degrees in business and minor education from Temple University, June had the opportunity to teach Business & Administration at Philadelphia Community College, Peirce Jr. College and Manor Jr. College. During a routine exam at Visual Eyes in 2001, June not only left with a new prescription, but also a part-time job! June has been an essential part of our success, assisting the optometrists with preliminary testing, delivering as a fashion consultant and a being a familiar face that helps build our retentive patient relationships.

June is a mother of two and shares a passion for travel, great food, fashion/décor and spending time with her family and friends.

Tim Gray – Optician/Marketing

Starting his career while in college, Tim found his passion for the eye care industry when he was only nineteen years old. As a part-time employee for a Fortune 500 corporate company, he soon became the youngest General Manager at just twenty years old. Nearly four years later, he moved on to better opportunity for his second corporate position, in which he managed and trained large staffs, Optometrists and multiple locations throughout Pennsylvania.

Tim has been certified as an Optometric Technician and achieved many awards for recognition for his success in growth of business and within the community.
